Nimble + Maybulb

Nimble, a Wolfram|Alpha client for macOS.

Introduction

Some time in 2015, Josh, a friend of mine, tweeted about an idea he had — a menubar client for Wolfram|Alpha. Along with our friend Ethan, who was primarily responsible for its development, we made Nimble, an open-source Wolfram|Alpha client for macOS.

I was primarily responsible for the design as well as the creation of the product website and branding.

Nimble works very simply; there's a search bar, you enter a query, and it searches it using Wolfram|Alpha's API.

It can handle most Wolfram|Alpha queries for a range of subjects, from calculus to carbon to cockatiels to calories to Carly Rae Jepsen and back again.

Nimble has eight themes, including a high-contrast mode.

The website is completely responsive and works on many platforms and at many sizes.

As of August 2018, Nimble has been downloaded over 9,400 times and has been featured in Lifehacker, The Next Web, and the front page of Product Hunt.
